The search has begun!
Over 75% of today's internet users are searching the web for new films, music and game downloads. Most of them, find what they're looking for, but the main question is - Where? My question would probably be, "how come nobody is actually enforcing those resources?", and the answer is simple - They're doing it in a legal way!
Yes, you heard right. Most online downloads today are legal. "How come?" you ask, well, let me tell you. Years ago Napster started something called "P2P" which allowed users to download their movies directly from other machines using the Napser interface as a communication device. Now adays, people are using torrents, the brilliant invention of BitTorrent programmer, Bram Cohen. Using torrents for file sharing (a protocol which was already designed in April 2001) users can distribute large amounts of data widely without the original distributor incurring the whole of the corresponding costs of hardware, hosting and bandwidth resources, and the best thing, if you're doing it the right way, it is impossible to trace! So, "how is that legal?!", well, the sites offering those very same torrents to the users, are actually doing something very similar to meta search, which was already declared as legal 7 years ago, meaning; It's not their content, and they're not even hosting it! they are simply providing users with links, removing responsibility from themselves, they can now peacefully and quietly share those movies, games, apps or music, with they're users. Sites such as MoviesPlanet.com which are doing they best to maintain a legal user interface for movie downloads, are now thinking of expending into the torrents field as well because of those legality issues. At the moment, MoviesPlanet (www.moviesplanet.com) doesn't even offer links to the actual movies, but simply acts as an arena that allow users to facilitate communication between movie enthusiasts. The site does not host free movies on its server; therefore you can not download free movies directly from it. In order to obtain these free films, MoviesPlanet.com allows you to create your own movie list and trade full movies with other users by simply communicating with them and asking to make a trade outside the site. Guess what? This is 100% legal!
When interviewed Roi Sorezki, MoviesPlanet.com’s founder, he said "The are currently developing the new MP version which should feature on top of all the current sections, new areas from ‘Movie Downloads’ with video torrents, adult sections and games, to a new Movie Database with an impressive magazine and film reviews. We are also working on even more advanced premium features for our VIP section"
- Good luck I say!
So, "what is the best way to download movies?" you ask; Personally, I’d recommend movie trading, but if you’re no more then a beginner, and willing to risk getting a low quality film, or even "Lord of the swings" instead of "Lord of the Rings" (Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing), I would say, start with torrents, and if you wait a while, you might even find some good ones on the new MoviesPlanet.com version.
